- Social Representations Theory develops a theory of social cognition, culture and communication that connects knowledge practices, social identity, psychological processes, ideology and social change.

- This year marks 50 years of Social Representations research and 20 years of Papers on Social Representations. To mark this momentous occasion Caroline Howarth, Nikos Kalampalikis and Paula Castro are producing a special issue titled: A half century of Social Representations: Discussion on some recommended papers. We shall launch this special anniversary issue at the conference. This shall provide the basis for reflection on what has been achieved to date.

- A conference to debate the future directions of Social Representations Research : 22-23 March 2012
